Nomenclature Note:
Included as a synonym of Q. ithaburensis Decne. (1835) subsp. ithaburensis in the World Checklist and Bibliography of Fagales (1998) and in earlier versions of this database, but now accepted here as a distinct taxon. Possibly a stabilized hybrid between Q. libani G. Olivier and Q. macrolepis Kotschy.
