History:

Original plant from Sir Harlold Hillier Gardens and Arboretum. Planted in 1968 from unknown source.

Description:

Putative hybrid of Q. emoryi Torr. and Q. hypoleucoides A. Camus. Shrub to small, multi-stemmed tree to 12.5 m. Leaves obovate to broadly elliptic, entire margins. Abaxial surface desnsely tawny to cream white tomentose. Adaxial surface glossy, dark green
