Quercus parvula var. tamalpaisensis S. K. Langer, Four Seasons 9(3): 24 (1993) is an accepted name.

Subgenus Quercus, Section Lobatae

While more study is needed, recent findings indicate that this taxon represents a hybrid population that is roughly 60% Q. wislizeni and 40% Q. parvula var. shrevei (See Manos & Hipp, 2021).
